Hunkin's Experiments (over 200 home experiments)

Hunkin's Experiments (over 200 home experiments)

Tim Hunkin is a cartoonist whose work appeared in the Observer for 14 years before he moved on to work in television. He has been a prolific artist over the years, and on this site he presents his kooky collection of experiments for the world to enjoy.

Now these are not high tech experiments, as the presentation would suggest. They range from the sublime to the ridiculous, and include such topics as making orange peel fangs and shadow portraits or perhaps you would rather grapple with the notion of creating your very own ant farm?

Over on Inquisitr is a story about Amy Winehouse.   As usual I’m pretty late to the party.  Until recently I never saw a picture of Ms. Winehouse, although I’ve read a blurb or two.Upon seeing the picture, I had to wonder… is she trying to outdo Madonna?  Is she some sort of bizarre parody of a vocalist?  Is she being bankrolled by the mascara industry? In any case, the title of the article is “Amy Winehouse Hospitalized Over Breast Injury”.

We find it infinitely easier to pair food with beer than with wine...

The very first rule of pairing beer and food is that anything goes. Seriously! If you're in the mood for a stout but you also want to grill up some fish, there are no rules that say you can't do this. In all my years of drinking beer, I haven't once come across a pairing that out-and-out didn't work.
Some pairings are better than others, to be sure, but your own taste is the final judge.
